It's a buyers market.

There are only so many of us with the correct endorsement on our licenses to buy a 12(5) rifle.

There's only so much we're willing to pay for a rifle we cannot shoot.

*shrug*

You can ask whatever you want. You might even get it.

Over the past 15 years, I've paid an average of about $400 for each of the 12(5) rifles I've bought....and the prices have not been going up.

Export it, you probably make more this way.

In Switzerland, the chinese Dragunov-clone costs around 2k Sfr, while the romanian Romak 3, which is similar to the Dragunov, costs around 1'200 (without scope).

A real russian rifle would probably go for up to 3k.

Unreal!

And that way you make a larger profit, the firearm gets enjoyed and used and doesn't end up in a smelter after you pass on.

What a sad state of affairs we labour under in this country.

Wow...I wonder what hoops one would have to jump through to export one? What shipping company would carry it?

Hate to say it but it's worth more deactivated...and that is not easy to do these days either.

Maybe talk to Collectors Source?

I had a great deal of fun recently exporting an older bolt-action milsurp, and there were plenty of hoops with that. Lots of paper and very spendy on shipping.
