Cheap AR-15 mags

And Questar is the best source for the 10 round LAR mags if you want those. Either way, I'd suggest buying them quickly, events in the US are leading to a shortage that could last a long time.

The only steel ones I can think of off the top of my head that may be in stock right now are the XCR Pistol mags.

D&H is fine tho. They come stock with the A/T follower. I put an L-Plate on mine and drop it all the time with no problems. Never stepped on it tho'.

How do the Questar ones stack up against the C-Star steel LAR15 mags from CanadaAmmo. (This has probably covered to death, but I couldn't explicitly find a comparison in the search)

If you have 'NO' mags, then Questar is the way to go.
I have some, Older Lars and pmags. I bought some of those DH mags too, they are really nice.

I will wait for beowulfs or Gen3 pmags. We only shoot 5 rounds. ...Anything that holds 5 is good.

Why is everyone fixated on polymer?

I was wondering about the polymer thing as well. Till I handled one. Much better tactile interface for me. But the metal ones fit better in the Norc CQ I have. No having to slam the mag into place with 5 rds in the mag and the bolt closed. Yes I know you supposed to reload when the bolt is locked to the rear. Well guess what, I reload when my mag is empty not necessarily when my rifle is empty
