Interested in buying the Mossberg tactical anyone have some comments on them, good or bad. was also interested in the Ruger SR22 have read they are awsome, but the price for a Mossberg is very reasonable.:ar15::shotgun:

just got one my self, ive put about 1000 rounds through it. its tons of fun. its cheaper in comparison to the rest because its 90% plastic but thats not an issue for me. alot of people hate on them for that reason. it does have a tendency to jamb spent cartridges but hey what can you expect for the price.

i did and didnt see them, sorry to offend you.

Hello camo22250,

When using the search function, make sure to set the search period to 36 months. It is by default set to 2 weeks, which means you won't find anything if you don't change it and the posts you are looking for are older than that.

Hope it helps.

Cheers.

PS. The mossberg tactical is, functionally, a good gun. However, it is very very plastic-y, and is a pain to clean due to the crazy amount of screws that holds the toy-like stock in which the action is contained. Personally, i wouldn't buy it because of that. I suggest you handle one first and review it yourself, you could be disappointed. I was when I did.

It's a great little gun for the money. Is it plastic....yes - Is it a little tacky.....yes BUT Is it cheap to buy cheap to run and $hit load of fun with a few full 25 round mags......Hell YES.

If you can find extra 25 round mags for it

Yep, I know. Funny thing is now more are in peoples hands, more people can testify to my comments on the gun and correct the plastic haters out there.
Hope you guys love your mossys as much as I loved mine.

Repeat after me... Jam o matic.

I had one for about 6 months, and I experienced a jam 1/25 - 1/50 rds.

Problem is that it works OK (1/100 Jam) when its clean and you dont touch the mag. But, when I go out shooting my .22 I fire off 500-1000 rds easy.

Once it gets dirty it becomes the jam-o-matic. ( 200 rds and its dirty)

So I saved some cash, bought a used SR-22 for 450 (no tax cuz its used). I was in the forest this last weekend and popped of 2500 rds, 4-5 jams.

If you get the mossy, round nose, copper plated, high velocity ammo only. HP jam every 10 rds... dont know why.

my .02 cents

*** EDIT***

Dont worry about the "plastic" issue, its really a non-factor. I actually like the light weight factor, great for long treks. Less weight on the gun mean you can carry more ammo:)

If your actually gonna hunt rabbit with it and not mow down tree stumps and plow through 3000 rds your good.

Also reloading the mags is a bit ch on the mossy, SR-22 has a speed loader sent from god touched by angels delivered by santa.

End of rant.
