so i have been put in charge of building a new stock for the .22 i learned to shoot on, my younger brother fell while carring it (unloaded) years ago and its time it was fixed up. i have many fond memorys of shooting marmits with this thing and would kind of like to know what it is. it is a single shot .22 long rifle the only markings are a symbol on the reciver and the words "FABRIQUE NATIONALE D'ARMES deGUERRE HERSTAL-BELGIQUE" down the barrel. its still a tack driver 5 shots touching at 50 some odd paces (with me shooting even :O)

i have the same one. i got it earlier this year from my girlfirends parents, it had been found in an abandoned house 20 years ago. its a 1912 model, my gun has a handmade stock, not the original stock but the gun shoots great, very accurate incredibly light. they started making them 100 years ago now, it could be a pretty old gun, the serial number is under the stock.
