I'm really interested in the "new" Ruger M77 African in 375 Ruger with the muzzle brake, the muzzle brake is removable a big + for me, but do you believe that this caliber is here to stay? I was in a gun shop last Friday and I asked this to the guy behind the counter and he said "buy a 375 H&H instead".

 
You bet. Ruger purpose built this badboy to meet and exceed the H&H using a standard action. As with any fire-breathing dragon like this, reloading is a must. That guy behind the counter ....:rolleyes:

Sure it's here to stay! Great chambering in a great rifle! Not sure about the muzzle break, the .375 Ruger does not recoil that much, but with the brake it is sure to hurt your ears.
 
Good luck, the sales and ammo sales say different !! It's waning already and doesn't do anything the H&H doesn't do. These are facts not spin. And if Ruger keeps putting it in POS like that butt ugly guide rifle they'll kill it stone dead in no time!
No major ammo maker has picked it up and Ruger itself is even dropping rifles for it, it's dead as a nit !! Sorry Gastehouse but it's a goner. Unlike the "TRUE KING" which is as strong as ever, actually stronger every year !!!
 
Ruger sold thousands more of them than they ever anticipated. There are 6 gunmakers that I know of making 375 Ruger rifles. Nosler is loading ammo with their bullets for it. Sales are not going anywhere but up.
 
Spin, Spin, Spin, the statistics don't reflect your opinion!! Sales are down again this year as are ammo sales and no major ammo maker has bit on it yet, Nosler is not a major and don't make their own brass, they are just buying it from Hornady. Spin it all you want Gatehouse, it is dying before your very eyes and you refuse to see or admit it. Meanwhile the H&H is experiencing a resurgence and gun sales are up and so are ammo as well as component sales. If you care to research this as I have, you'll see I am correct and the Ruger 3/8" offering is dying.
If you would care to quote statistics to refute what I am saying I would be interested to see them, but you can't, because what I have said is the truth and the truth can't be refuted. You can try and spin this anyway you want but the fact is sales are down significantly, as are ammo and brass sales.
I don't make the facts I just report them, so people don't get sucked in by your rhetoric and buy a caliber that will be dead and obsolete in 5-10 years.
This is the reality and your "NEW KING" will be as dead as Bonnie Prince Charlie in less than 10 years and the "TRUE KING" will still be the "TRUE KING" when all is said and done !!!
 
I'd rather just see your figures and sources to back up your bullschit...You are just making it up as you go along, hoping that some poor misguided fellows on CGN will believe it.

More gun makers chambering it. Nosler making ammo for it. Looks more like it's gaining in popularity than going down.

SPIN, SPIN, SPIN, I asked for YOUR statistics, none of the makers you are quoting are major players in NA. Quote your sales statistics, ammo sales statistics, give me one FACTUAL statistic that says it's better than 5 years ago. It isn't and you know it, it's been going down hill for several years now. That's the reality of the .375 Ruger !!!.........The GREAT PRETENDER.

You want to see my facts GOOGLE Hornady ammo sales by caliber for the past 5 years, GOOGLE Ruger sales by caliber for the last 5 years, my posts aren't bullsh!t but someones are!!!!

Like I said maybe you should research your opinion a little more before you try and pull the wool over the eyes of others with your rhetoric. I have looked into what you have said and I find it to be false, sales of rifles and ammo and brass are down significantly over the past 5 years. THIS IS FACT not rhetoric!!!

Ruger is throwing a bone to the H&H fans. It's pretty good of them to include ONE model of H&H rifle in their line up, really. ;)

Apperently you have decided to omit my references which prove what I am saying. Like I said GOOGLE Hornady ammo sales and Ruger sales for the info which I have researched. Someones posts are bullsh!t and they aren't mine. At least I can back up what I say with REAL statistics and I've told you where to find my statistics...............................SPIN, SPIN, SPIN !!!!

I think it's pretty clear who's full of sh!t here, GOOGLE the sites I referenced and then tell me I'm full of sh!t, and tell all the other CGNers who's full of sh!t, you asked for my statistics and I gave them to you, now where are yours? I don't give a flying F*** what Ruger offers, the .375 H&H is still and always will be the most sold cartridge over 338 cal in the world. Dispute that !!

Jeezuz, didn't we just go through this in the 416 thread? Knock it off guys! Neither of you are posting any actual statistics, telling someone to go to Google doesn't show us anything. Post up some actual numbers and debate those, if you cant, give it a rest.
 
You know what Gatehouse, until you do some research and come up with some stats to support your rhetoric, I don't choose to debate this topic with you any longer. I've given you the support for my posts but you have not reciprocated at all, all you have posted is opinionated BS. I'm pretty certain the rest of the CGNers reading this post have come to the same conclusions as I have........you're all BS and refuse to address the statistics I have set before your very nose. Refute the statistics I have quoted, with stats of your own proving me wrong, where can I go to see in black and white that what you say is true?
I think this pretty much shuts down this debate, don't you Gatehouse? Get back to me when you can support your opinion with facts as I have!!!!!
