The targets say right on them 43yds or something like that.
They don't open and close like a well used Lee Enfield, but tight tolerances and tri-lug means it won't. That said they are more than smooth enough.
I haven't heard of any of the issue mentioned here or the 'Fire and if people were going to bring an issue.
