Hey guys. I'm soon to get my PAL and every thing I will need to hunt. I only have one problem I am not originally from the Montreal area and have no idea where to find some good crown land to hunt on as I don't know any farmers whom I can ask for permission to hunt on their land. Any mentors here that could help it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Looking for a Mentor in Montreal

hi I'm a memeber at CTM in Montreal, and looking for a montor to give me some tips on pistol shooting, IPSC,and reloading. I have all my licenses and firearms, just some help getting better in the sport.

sorry for the rookie Question

what is a Pal- R ?

Also any mentors available in Montreal-Laval Area ?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Don't be sorry, we all started at the beginning, A PAL R is a possession and acquisition license, and the R is for restrictive firearm license, for pistols.

I'm a member at CTM in Lachine, but always looking for someone to do some skeet or long range target practice if you want.

On the back of your PAL you have a right and left side called Possession (left) and Acquisition (right)
Below each Pos & Aqu you should see what your entitled to own and Aquire/buy, so I have Non-restricted & Restricted on both sides. So I'm allowed to own and buy either of these types of firearms. In QC have a restricted license you must first be a member of a shooting club and pass the Loi 9 before you can buy a restricted firearm. Plus you would have to take a separate safety course for both licenses. Hope that helps

For the long range and skeet do you do it at CTM ?

For the long range and skeet do you do it at CTM ?

AT CTM I only shoot my restricted arms. For long range there are a few ranges off island of Montreral, and for Skeet you can do it at the long range that have it or they have skeet only ranges off island.

here is a link with some names. http://www.armurier-quebec.com/clubdetir.htm Ruisseau, is old and not the best shape but it has two ranges from when i last went. Pionneer seems to be better, you can do a search for the actual wed sites of each. If you want to do Skeet / trap, then both of these do it, or skeet shooting club montreal, or L'acadie on the south shore. hope this helps

hi
just from new zealand to montreal。 looking for the new rang or club to join。 and need help for the english firearm license course information。any choice near area of alain-grandbois? dot have car right now.....thanks

Not sure of your new location but on Island of Montreal there are only 3 ranges that I know of and they are all indoors, Piont Claire rifle > you can only shoot .22 rifle or pistol, There is CTVSP that is only pistols http://www.ctvsp.com/intro.html or CRAFM which you can shoot long rifle and pistol in almost every caliber http://www.crafm.com/?___store=english: not CRAFM will be closed for about a month or so do to a cieling calapse and water damage. They should be reopening in about a months time. Any other help needed just ask.
