Hey there,

Just been browsing the web and I came across Chiappa Rhino revolvers. They look pretty neat and I was wondering if anyplace in Ontario sells them so I could take a look for myself?

Thanks :D

I handled one at Epps. I have seriously considered buying one but there's mixed reports on their quality and reliability, so I've stayed away for the time being. I will say it is a very cool design that does feel pretty good in the hand, but I intensely disliked the cylinder release.

I would't dare handle one for fear the 'ugly' might rub off! I have to admit that when they came out I thought they were sooo hideous looking that it kinda made them cool. Still haven't actually seen one up close though.

Maybe 1k or so dry firing and 350 rounds fired without any issues. About 5k on the way so I should know for sure in the next year ;) Great little gun, surprisingly light, very mild recoil and almost zero muzzle rise. Locks tight and doesn't miss a beat. For info mine is a gen1.

Yes.. from Rouge River Arms

Ask for Scot..
Tell him Jude sent you. Then ask fo a quote.
BTW 357 mag factory loads - no recoil.

Yes you are reading that correctly. No muzzle flip.

Here, have a closer look.

This is the hottest handgun currently available IMO. But I'm a sci-fi nerd. I inquired locally at the Shooting Edge but they stopped carrying them due to reliability issues. :(

It was fun for a while until the reliability issues cropped up. The frame is pretty lightweight for firing .357mag and it got to be a bit unpleasant shooting magnum rounds after a while. Add in the overly complicated internals to allow for it to fire from the bottom cylinder, you're looking for trouble if you enjoy shooting it often.
When mine cratered and it was sent back in to the importer, they couldn't fix it and simply gave me a refund. I enjoyed it a lot while I had it, but I won't buy another one.

used to own one, only sold it to buy another toy, but not because there was anything wrong with it. it truly does have little to no muzzle flip, just as described. finish was nice, took a bit of getting used to, especially the grip and hand positioning, but the gun overall is well designed and built. firing 357's with little kick, 38's were a joke, felt like a .22 round. single action trigger was very sweet, but the double action was a little stiff and the pull is longer than what you might expect. very accurate, like most revolvers I've shot in 357 or 38spc. when they initially came out, they were priced around $900+, but today, when you can find one, they are + $1000. tried ordering longer grips through a local retailer, but they are still on back-order, more than a year later.
