CZ858 - armacoat or not?

To armacoat or not to armacoat a CZ858?

I am hesitating. I was just about to order an armacoated CZ858, but still have doubts as to if I should or not.

Should I buy a regular CZ, or is the armacoat really worth it? Interested in opinions, specially from people who have/do own both.

You can do it yourself for under 100$... just some sanding and buying a kit from ArmaCoat that comes with a Preval sprayer.
 
Makes for a nice gun if youre into that. I like the back on my CSAs but I'd get the Nitro carb on a standard CZ. The corrosion resistance is nice.

I have a Canadian Edition CZ-858 that is arma-coated and I absolutely love it. To each their own, but I'm very happy with the end result and would recommend it.

Arma-coat offers the nitron finish...is this what you're talking about?

I have to admit i'm also not a fan of paying $35 per mag for the 3 others...arma-coat's price only includes refinishing for one of the four mags...
 
Arma coat may be expensive but it is a very tough and durable finish (not to say the cz one isnt). Its just gouging for the 3 other mags but i had a rifle done from arma coat and it still looks brand new.
 
I have considered getting mine done, but I really don't mind the CZ finish at all.

Instead an expensive paint job, have you considered the Magwell adapted rifle from Wolverine?
 
I'd love to have my CZ Armacoated, but I don't think I'd want to pay the price for it.

Sorry to hijack, but I have a question. I have a friend who runs his own body shop and is a fantastic painter. Hypothetically, if I wanted him to coat my rifle, would he just use the product I supply to him and run it through his gun, or is it a different process? I know he's do an amazing job and he'd give me a smokin deal.

Yes, you can buy a few different gun coatings. I'm not 100% but I think you could use other products also, you would need to do a little googling/asking around.
 
you know, thats actually not a bad idea...bang it up, and if i get fed up, then get it armacoated...i like that...not bad at all...
