Those of you in the know, what do you think the odds of a steady Norc ammo supply despite the Americans buying up ammo and components?

I know several overseas companies were bought up or moved their operations to America so they will most likely be affected (PMC,RAUG) but I am hoping that the Chinese make all their own components and that they will just keep shipping to us. I mean, if American ammo becomes rare, I'm pretty sure those business savvy Chinese would start flooding our market.

Am I living in a fantasy world?

I doubt that american ammo will ever become rare. The industry is not about to give up on billions of dollars worth of business. If it dries up in Canada, it's only because of the nittywitties in Ottawa.

As for the Chineez, I suspect strongly that they will continue to feed the market at the same rate or more as long as they can get it into the country.

I wish they'd shipped one of those AKs to my house. Ofcourse I would have made it semi-auto right away to comply with big brother.

American ammo and reloading components became rare in 2009. Then it became overpriced. Then it became available again and a lot of stores stayed at the higher prices.

I think the Chinese supply will be fine, but time will tell.

making it semi auto would still not comply here

Norc ammo should be around for a while. Little to no US buisness allowed. Canada is a slowly growing firearm and ammo importer from China, and they seem to be recognising the demand.

Chilling thought. You AR guys best be buying as much 5.56 as you can carry...

I got 16 k of Chinese for the next year or two, not including other domestic and readily reloadable. Then again I am a high volume shooter. :D

Between my close friends we have nearing on 30 k in chinese ammo alone. Good to be prepared. For all we know in 5 years we may not see it anymore for anything close to the price I paid. ($0.25 a round bulk cost)

It is just a shame. We were just a bit too late for the big mag rush in the states. I could have used a few dozen Pmags to keep mags loaded. Not to worry, LAR's will do for now.

I will do chores at your house for ammo. Pleeeeeeease!!!

Lol I thought I had a picture of those bad boys. But I guess I'd need to trade 1600 gummy army men cupcakes for a crate of 1600 ammo? Good times

Suddenly, my magazine looks quite reasonable - I only have 20k rounds in it (all calibres)

I must show Mrs. Goat...
