Adding Traditional Buttstock to my Mossy 590A1

I went other way sold my standard stock on ee

Put wtb on ee and you will get one. If you do find one on ee with out the bolt dont worry as you can get a bolt from hardware store for $2

Didn't quite get the jist of what you were saying. What is wtb?

So you want to get a standard stock? Have a go at Brownells and look up part #631-000-248WB but seems to be out of stock at the moment. There's always Numerich who claims in stock for $33. (SKU: 742970A) but shipping will probably be around $45. If you're ordering from Numerich, I wouldn't mind ordering a sight and will split shipping cost with ya.

Not planning on switching it out anytime soon, just curious is all. I like the pistol grip but the rubber buttpad is far too wide and doesn't sit very nicely in the shoulder area. That made me wonder about the possibility of just buying a traditional buttstock. But I didn't know if it was possible or if that could be installed on my 590A1 model.

I went onto Brownells and also the Hogue store (hogues website) and the only stocks I find are for Mossberg 500's. Are there one's specifically that go on the 590A1 or will the 500 stock work?

500 ones will fit no problem

I have one on mine :)

I just bought a Houge short LOP stock, you saying that my pistol grip stock bolt won't fit, and the Hogue one won't come with the appropriate one? Ridiculous. How do I know what length to get?

Buy a regular length Mossberg bolt "problem solved ;)"

From? I live in Fort Mac, where the only option is Canadian Tire. I tried the ATI folder on it, which I didn't like, but that came with the longer bolt. When I sold the stock, I had to include all the hardware. I assumed all make-specific stocks came with the appropriate hardware. Can anyone measure this long stock bolt and tell me the length of it so I can source one locally from a bolt shop instead of waiting a month from Brownells?
