Robarms XCR FAQ post

Under handguard is about the same, it is a very light barrel compared to the "stock" one. I really like it for my coyote/truck gun.

Did you notice any difference in accuracy when you switched to the lighter barrel? What type of group do you get at 100? Thank you for your time.

Regards,

Chizzy

Chizzy, havent really had the chance to "wring" it out. Just shooting some federal 55fmj and a "generic" load through it right now. My usual shooting spots have too much snow to get into so just rough sighted in for now.

These guns are supposed to have the reliability of the AK platform but in an "AR" style. Does anyone know if these have been through the hoops like the AK, eg- put in water, dirt and other vigorous testing to see if they still perform?

Search Youtube for XCR in water. First video is what you are looking for

So i have a pws triad coming in on monday and decided to pull off my stock flash hider and well im no genius but the crown on my sks and 10/22 looks way better then the crown on my 7.62x39 barrel and ive never seen tooling marks in the barrel like so before.

Question for everyone else whos pulled their flash hiders off, how does mine compare to yours? Any thoughts?

I did note a bit of keyholing at 25 yards when i shot over christmas but will confirm if thats an ammo problem or not.

Has anyone run 5.56 x45 through their XCR?

My barrel is stamped .223, but on Robinson Armaments website (and many American Dealer websites) say "5.56 NATO (.223 Rem)" I know .223 can be fired in a 5.56 chambered firearm but 5.56 should not be fired from a .223 but is this particular gun STAMPED .223 but able to chamber a 5.56? Or were the ones shipped to Canada strictly .223 chambers?

@ tommycanada, thanks, i was thinking that must be the reason. I found another source that confirms what you say on the xcr forum http://www.xcrforum.com/index.php?topic=5604.0.

@ wOnder, strange indeed that your barrel along with my Bushmaster AR are both stamped 5.56 but were able to be imported.

Thanks for the replies

That is because the state department changes their opinion on what is acceptable every day.
