I just gots a REALLY nice EAL with a scope(weaver 4 power).....condition is jaw droping awesome.I am wondering what type of sling would be used on this type of gun.....303 canvas w/brass or steel keepers,or a 2 piece military leather(1903???? type)...it is a civy type(3 thousand range)...and sports 6 lines in the barrel..CMK4,with the CA just in front of it...

Ideas??

If it's the civilian version, any 1inch commercial sling would be appropriate. They seldom came with a sling and the buyers, usually added one of their preference.

Other than your word for it, are you sure it's civilian???

If it has the Weaver K-4 mounted, it's possible it was military. If there's a three leaf mounted on the barrel, that would mean it's likely military. There were some EALs issued by the military with the Weaver scopes.

The serial number is in the 3000 range....that makes it a civy from my readings...10 round mag...yep.....

NOW.....I understand that some of the civilian modles were fixed with scopes, depending what company bought them!!!

If anything I generally stick a normal Enfield web sling on them...not sure that they came with anything originally or not. But, the rifles use normal Long Branch stamped sling swivels and an Enfield sling does not look out of place.
