My rifle shoots 1/2" groups @100 yards all day! Really? Prove it.

Prove it? PROVE IT?!?!?

Why don't we just dispense with the niceties? Do any of you bums DARE call me a liar to my face...? Anyone...?

I thought so! And lest there be any argument about it, MY rifle shoots 0.3" groups all day long! I tust that my word as a scholar and a gentleman will suffice...

I know for a fact i'm not that good yet. My rifle may with the right shooter behind it. But heck, i just did my first run of 50 reloads so ive been looking to an excuse to get out lol ill try it and post my results reguardless. This could be fun!!

I have a couple of rifles that I can trust to deliver that kind of accuracy If I do my part!
But the weather here right at present is not conducive to that kind of discipline.
Later, I'll be in.
Eagleye.

I think I should be able to do 5" groups. Oh wait, you want .5" ? Well then.... Sometimes I think I struggle with the 5" lol. I do like calling some people on their B.S. I don't see why owning up to the fact that you maybe can't shoot 1/2" groups all day long is so hard. I would love to be able to make that claim but I have not put the time in like some of you fellas that can actually do this.

Maybe in a year or two of more practice and better re-loading knowledge and experience. I commend all of you that are pulling this off, truly an extraordinary feat. Well done.

I hope my short range rifles do that........ They better do .250 at the worst. This time of year and weather is not the best to do it but I will pull my 223 out. The BR rifles only come out in April.

This post is about 5 days late for me, I just went to the range last Thursday when it was about -5. This week is the highest temp will be -14 and -20s all the other days. Ill give it a whirl but if i can shoot .5 moa in -20 weather will I get extra credit?

Thanks Under. It was fun especially knowing you were doing it only to post onto a forum.

Icedragonmx.........when are we going out to get your groups on paper?????:nest:

I was witness to yours;) Will have to bring the factory 308 Savage (factory trigger and stock and a factory barrel cut down to 18+" with a muzzle brake added) out with the new toy too. Just wish I could make a load for the new one prior to the challange. Going to be a cold weekend with -30+ with the wind. Anyone got a good load for a PGW Coyote and 175smk's or 155 smk's with varget and Federal brass? :D I'll roll the dice on 46.7gr and see what happens....Game on!

Also not embarassed to admit I cannot shoot 25 rounds straight, through a .5" target. If the challenge was for "a" group of five, yes: I have the target to prove it, but I often mess shots with the dreaded "flier".

So, tagged that I can enjoy everyone else's success while I continue my practice and try as I always do to consistently put bullet after bullet through the same hole. ;)

Out of curiosity, does the man with a 50 caliber Steyr get a little more leeway with the group size? Literally, he would have to put bullet after bullet through the same hole.

I don't think anyone here they would say each and every group they shoot is 1/2 Moa.

But the odd day you can surprise yourself if you have the right mind set , right gun, right load.

Most BR matches score in the .2s to .3s and they honestly to shoot those strings.

I surprised my self once !!

I usually get my smallest measurement when I fire one shot. !!

Are you kidding? You've never read anyone claim, "My rifle shoots < .50 MOA (5-shot) groups all day long as long as I do my part."? This gets said here on an almost daily basis.

Give me a couple days to do it................

Now, where do I get my mitts on a Nemesis and some factory ammo? :)

i will have to load up a bunch more ammo for the 222 and give it a shot.i have targets with 5 5 shot groups under an inch but not sure if i can put 5 back to back under .5.i have had a few 10 shot groups <.75.the rifle and load might do it if i do my part or i could just let my daughter shoot the groups.she usually out shoots her brother and myself with the 17hmr /22lr.anyway we will give it a go.

Why do I smell the slight hint of B.S. coming when the targets are gonna be presented! ;)

Unless someone is there to witness that shooting the results aren't worth crap, hate to be the kill joy but this IS the internet.

Actually it is better with someone watching , then it shows if you can really shoot under pressure. :D

I hate to say it but its true, we are just going to have to have some faith / trust that most of us are here for the challenge and not the attention or glory. However, if you can pull the 5x5 off, then I do want to see some pictures ... It'll make me motivated to do it myself. I'm off to load some ammo.

Hopefully everyone will be honest. Otherwise they are only fooling themselves.
