Remington 700 5r 20” threaded barrel?

Looking for some input on this version of the 5r. How does it compare to the 24” bbl version for accuracy?

Thanks

I'm no expert on this, but in terms of .308 I would think it should be as accurate if not slightly more. However you will lose a little velocity. Again though, I'm no expert I'm sure some other members here can chime in a little better

ill have to disagree with you on this...

shorter barrels are easier to tune loads for and may have a wider sweet spot , but long ans short both have the potential to be tack drives or oversize paper weights

Buddy of mine just bought the remington 700 sps tactical 308 from SFRC took it out this weekend and sighted it in at 200 yards and shot 5 10 ring shots, then moved back to 250 and with minor hold over shot the same group all with off the shelf federal ammo. Great gun and very accurate cant wait to start hand loading for him. Not sure if SFRC has any left.
