WTB and Pls Remove

i am not so convinced the panic will slow any time soon Many, and I mean MANY NEW never before gun owners are jumping into the gun world and starting to buy like never before. this is a whole new market and its going to take some time to satiate the appetite. talk to the gun shop owners down south who are selling to the non-regulars. Obongo has scared the bejeezus even out of his supporters.

Yes, that's not going to last long at this rate. PMAGs are more or less unobtanium for the foreseeable future. That's kind of what I was trying to get at: there isn't really much left, so beggars can't be choosers. "Offers" are pretty much wishful thinking at this point, as the market has shifted from a buyers to sellers market. The longer it takes people to realize this - the more pain there's going to be.

And you'll be there to take full advantage of that, I'm sure.

Did someone seriously pay you $1200 for the hand full of Pmags you had listed?

Is that a serious question? Yes, a third are already sold.

I would tell you that I've already done my bit for "CGN and community" with respect to Magpul gear, but instead I'll just tell you to "piss off". :D

I had a handful of PMAGs in my personal collection, and figured I'd make them available. I think my cost with the attached accessories is closer to $50, because these were purchased quite some time ago - so I'm basically looking to get my costs and a bit of beer money out of them. When they're gone - they're gone.

Pmag for $250?

But why do people think that 5 rounds from a cheap plastic mag is sooooo much better than 5 rounds from a cheap aluminum mag>

Because we all know the plastic mag is cheaper to make than a metal mag. But somehow with all the marketing the last 3 years....plastic mags are are worth more??

It's what all the cool kids are shooting these days. ;)

lol Because fools will pay any amount of money to look that much cooler at their local gun range in front of people.

Yes, that was a serious question...I can't seem to comprehend someone paying that much money for something that I was buying for $15-20 last month.

I personally prefer having 10 rounds over 5 rounds anyways!

Half gone now. Some people simply prefer or need the larger magazines for competition, and I don't think there's any dispute that polymer is much more durable than metal. There's also the unwritten understanding of why, but "zombie apocalypse" sounds so cliche...

Well, thanks for that insightful reply.

It is quite disappointing to see almost every PMAG owner swoop in to make their profit from fellow gunnutz. I've never seen so many pmags for sale in my life; maybe we should dedicate a separate EE section just for PMAGS. Maybe if people would stop paying stupid prices for them, it might slow down some. I mean, everyone realizes these are essentially 5 round mags, not 30, right? Just like every other AR mag out there?

But, whatever. Caveat Emptor.

Colt stuff down south is going for retarded prices. That's if you can find it. 6920 $2500. 901 $5000. I talked to a Colt distributor and he sold his last piston upper Colt for $3500. Colt has a 8 month wait right now. So you aren't going to be seeing any here for a while.

Some of us also have higher costs because we didn't necessarily buy at the bottom. For example, the windowed 30/5-round PMAGs ran me about $40/each at the time because they were special order and uncommon. Add another +$20 for the mag grips, MagLink and ranger plates and I'm sitting around a cost of $60.

I'd held off selling them because it didn't make sense losing money on them at the time. So I'm at around $240 cost for 4 magazines, and I sold the last batch for $250 shipped. Tell me exactly where this gouging supposedly is?

I actually sold off most of my magazines in the Fall for probably between $20-$25 per magazine. There were some good deals to be had then...
