Use the bayonet, it works perfectly no need to buy a screwdrived you will never use again.



I just got a long, large bit screw driver. I admit its not the nicest screw but if you just put some stank on it it should come. That being said I have a terrible mindset that I will not let the machines beat me and get a little pissed off when screws are tight. It helps. Apparently I was able to take out a screw on my buddies mosin that he had super glued in. I think i sprained my wrist though.This is the way I was thinking about doing it. Did you have to file the end of the tire iron at all?I bought a big cross tire iron at canada tire. screw came out easy and went back the same way.
Bought a chisel at crappy tire. Ground the tip flat so it fit the slot of the screw perfectly.
The chisel had a hex shaft so you could put a wrench on it. Then over the wrench place a pipe (if needed) in whatever length you require to get the job done.
Mine came off easily with a 2ft pipe.
