Buying AR parts in the USA

One of your best bets is Brownells. They have an extensive selection, reasonable prices, and they know what they can and what they cannot export out of the US.

Op lol. Not trying to be a #### but read the news. You'll find exactly nothing in the states.

Brownell if they have the piece you want in stock. I purchased a lot of parts from brownell (under 100$) and it was ok. They know what they can sell outside USA and they'll cancel an particular item if they can't ship it.

Brownells is your best luck. But they are out of stock on every single popular Ar15 parts...so you gotta wait I guess?

Never had a problem with the 'authorities' ordering through Brownells. Just keep parts under $100, no barrels or muzzle devices. Their website is very good at telling you if you can't order something and how much you're able to order. You can also confirm with their international department if your order will go through or not - they usually get back to me in an hour during the day.
SKDTac is also good for things that aren't ITAR controlled. I've ordered lots of kit from them.

Yar I know, but paperwork is hard mmmkay.
I have placed 3 (<$100) orders from Brownells this month and just got a notice that all 3 have now shipped. Picked up most parts I needed for a compete build.
stripped Upper/Lower, and Barrel are all purchased (or will be) locally. Last pieces were picked up from Milarm today. I should have stopped in there earlier. They had a few things I ordered and were very helpful. LIve and learn.
