Hello everyone,

Im trying to find something out that i looked, and didnt get real clear answer.

The glock 22 to glock 17 conversion barrels. Is there anything special about the barrel, or if i find a glock 17 barrel for sale, can i drop that in.

I know i'll likely need new springs (its a gen 4 i can) but other than that. It shouldnt be a problem right?

As far as I know regular G17 barrel wont work. G22 and G17 slides are different; .40 slide is heavier and I think the muzzle hole is bigger as well. For example G22 with a conversion barrel looks like a bull barrel.

This was discussed a few weeks back and I was told by another member(can't remember who) that he drops a 17 barrel in his 22 slide and runs it without issue. I've never done it and didn't think it would work or be all that safe.

:agree: you need a 40-9 conversion barrel. The 40-9 barrel is the same O.D. as a .40 barrel so it fits tight in the front of the slide.
