The defining characteristic of an assault rifle is the happy fun setting on the selector. You do not own assault rifles. Technical accuracy and the use of accurate technology is not playing semantic games; the ones playing semantic games are the antis with their attempts to confuse people into thinking civilian semiautomatic sporting rifles are assault rifles.

Attempts which you're actually helping. Swift.

i disagree the ar15 and most, ill even say all "black rifles" were designed as assault rifles. our civilian VARIANTS dont have that so called fun switch but that doesn't mean they aren't assault rifle, just Canadian commercially available VARIANTS on the original military assault rifle. That doesn't mean there anymore dangerous or scary then any other rifle out there bolt, semi or otherwise. Not even the people on this site can agree on the semantic exacts of means of terms so why try? Call an Apple (black rifles) an Apple (a rifle with its action, or one incredibly similar to it, originally developed by militaries as and assault rifle) the difference between my colt le6920 and my c7 (besides 4" of barrel) is almost none only the seer and the bolt carrier but both of those things are almost impossible to make out with the naked eye. and also training dictates that you use repetition(single fire) as it is more effective. so because my i never use my c7 on auto (almost like its not there) does that mean its not an assault rifle? The defining characteristic of an assault rifle is not the auto feature.

I used to own an assualt weapon.... for 1 whole hour it was legally mine.... stupid laws saying no you can't... Did it hurt anyone well yes it did it was fired at north koreans in fact...

I had a guy on youtube getting pretty excited over my "assault gun"

I've heard many misnomers. But when someone says "assault gun" I picture the naval battery on a destroyer throwing shells inland while marines hunker in tin boats.

Hey
That was me, and my comment was; please re-read the bold part....

OMG I cant believe that assult gun is allowed in Canada; said my co worker. lol

wish I had the 3gs to spend on it

I think you read the comment wrong!!, try again and maybe you'll catch the sarcasm.
My point was I work with simple minded people and they are media sheep!!
now my comment has received too many negative votes on your channel and was taken down....really??
And YES, I own a "Assult Rifle"

Ahhhh... it is times like these that I reflect upon the historical WAR firearms of our past... & thank %^!#@"god"that the ASSAULT term never took hold back then to deem those classics as "BAD".

You people talk jibberish to me when you go back & forth on this topic!
Pretend you are 100 years from now??? Imagine how childish this thread will read!

100 years from now it will be even funnier. ;)

The person 100 years from now... (reading this thread)... will study it in their 8th grade class as a part of their history project... "to distinguish between rational thinking & government control on the RAT RACE puppets of the past."!

It will NOT be funny.

... EDIT!! Did I say 8th grade?

100 years from now.... our 8th grade today will be the Womb of tomorrow!!!

nice try TROLL

I did read it. You don't own "assault rifles" any more than I own "machine guns".

I may own guns that were once upon a time machine guns, but they certainly aren't any more and it would incorrect to call them such.

Sooo.... you want to argue semantics do you? Ok, in that case... Victoria (BC) SWAT doesn't have any MP5 sub-machine guns because their MP5's were built as Semi auto only, or those that own CONVERTED AUTO's don't own assault rifles, LMG, SAW, or Sub-machine guns because they are no longer full auto. I guess that also means that those that own Dewats don't own assault rifles, LMG, SAW, or Sub-machine guns because they are no longer full auto either. They are what they are, while I keep trying to point out to others that talking about this stuff on here is bad news and CAN be used against us, blaxsun took respectability to point out the truth about what he owns and the incorrect myth behind it. How dare you cut him down, that was a real #### move on your part. I DO know people IN CANADA the LEGALLY own FULL AUTO's, and I know people that own converted Auto'se. AND FYI Stevo, it is possible to take out and SHOOT the Full autos and Converted Auto's in Canada.

To say that an AR-15 in not an Assault Rifle because it lacks the joy buzzer is like saying a sports car with out an engine is NOT a sports car.

good points. it's semi-comical the whole 'sporting' rifle premise in Canada. AR15 hunters raise your hand :)
it's like 'tactical' handgun. Yes I own a tactical handgun and I'm headed to the battlefront...lol.

That's not really a fair statement, the only reason we don't hunt with AR's is because we are not allowed to. I most certainly did take my AR hunting back when we could. In the US the AR is getting more and more hunters using it for a bigger selection of animals now that there is a larger selection of calibers available. Others still take "black rifles" hunting if they are not restricted or prohibs. There are many sporting events to shoot AR's at. Service rifle, CQB, IPSC 3 gun, Multigun, and even some for precision events are seeing AR's used.

Guys you're AR-15 falls under different description/Criteria and are not under what the term "Assault Rifle" is....Sorry just get over it; find a new term for your rifle! If you want to call it an Assault rifle then I want my 30rd mags and FA, otherwise enough already.

And No Blaxsun an SR25 is not an Assault rifle either but falls under a label of a DMR, or precision rifle.... You can say a lot of things that derail an Anti-arguments without lying or BS that person that are highly factual and accurate, the reality is although I agree with Blaxsun overall idea and intent his choice of words are not factual and can easily be spun by any media. Very naive & short sighted I would say.

Truth is you guys are not doing us any favors in this approach
