With all the accuracy concerns we have on this forum, has any one here ever put a known good shooter action in a solid machine rest to test different ammo types? All the testing done by so many still has the human error factor involved. Seems like a good project to build. We have very solid concrete benches at the outdoor range I am a member of. A 50 or 60 lb rest clamped to the bench should suffice. A remote trigger release would negate contact with the firearm. A little searching on the net will give some ideas without reinventing the wheel. I have an Anschutz 64 target with a Weaver V 24 that should be suitable. Need another project till spring gopoher season anyway. Thoughts and comments ???????
