Winchester SXP, are replacement barrels available in canada?

I have been looking into getting a Winchester SXP Camp / Field combo, but the local dealer ive been talking to tells me that the combo deal has been discontinued. As much as I would like either version, defender or 28" barrel, this gun would be much more useful to me with the easily swapable barrels.

But I havent been able to find any sources for buying the barrels directly in canada, otherwise i would likely just buy the Black shadow(28"barrel with 3 screw in chokes) and then buy a 18 inch cylinder bore for fun times and slug shooting. Maybe even a rifled barrel too.


Help me, CGN, you are my only hope. Up here in camp in Ft Nelson, the internet blocks nearly every "weapon" related site, so i am even more hampered from information gathering, somehow CGN is allowed.

Hell, for all I know, the local dealer is full of it, and the Camp/Field Combo is still available, but i cant even look at the Winchester website to find out.
 
The barrels were only just released this year at shot show I believe. Get a PDF copy of the 2013 catalog at Winchesterrepeatingarms and get the part number and put it on order.

Going to take quite a while to come in.
 
I just received my SXP Camp/Field combo last week, mailed from Cabelas dot ca out of Winnipeg.

After I ordered it, I was poking around on Winchester's website and noticed the camp/field combo was no longer listed... now I check this morning and see that it is back on the website, along with a buck/bird combo.

I can't seem to find that combo available on Cabelas website anymore. perhaps they are sold out now.

Check with grouse river outfitters, they list the 26"/18" combo still.
 
I looked, but didnt find any part numbers for the barrels specifically? I Might be able to get the combo that Im looking at, but it would still be great to be able to buy replacement barrels separately in canada, or to pick up one of the rifled, sighted, slug barrels for hunting, etc.
 
You should call Winchester and see if the older 1200/2100/2200/1300 barrels will fit the "new" SXP or try one if you know someone that has one...I suspect they will but until I try it myself or talk to a Winchester rep I cannot be 100% certain that that is the case.

Because FN owns browning and Winchester. And they are both serviced at the same places!

If you download the new 2013 catalog of the main page on their homepage left hand side. Last couple pages list barrel part numbers!

Indeed they are but Browning customer service will tell you you called the wrong place (which you did) and tell you to call Winchester customer service as they are operated as two independent companies. It's kinda of like calling Toyota to ask a question about a Lexus model...

If your Browning or Winchester needs repairs or warranty work done the yes they will most likely wind up in the same gunsmith's hands.

My Toyota dealership takes care of my olde Lexus repairs no problem. Strange...

I guess I wasn't very clear in my explanation so I'll try clear it up.

Toyota and Lexus are owned by one but operated as 2 independent companies (same as Winchester and Browning.)

If you call Toyota looking for an extra hood to fit your Lexus ES 300 they will tell you to call Lexus. (If you call Browning looking for an extra barrel to fit your Winchester SXP they are going to tell you to call Winchester.)

I'm pretty sure the OP asked were he/she could find a barrel and not where he/she could get his gun serviced or repaired? Of course I may have misunderstood the OP's question and be out to lunch on this one! Lol!
