Hey Folks. Not sure if this is the right forum so Mods, feel free to move this if required.

Anyway, I'm looking for some input with regard to magazine compatibility for the Kel Tec SUB 2000. Namely, I have read that the SIG226 version of the Kel Tec SUB2000 may accept and function with CZ75 magazines. There are claims that magazines for the Tanfoglio / IWI Jericho 941 / Baby Eagle in 9mm also work in the CZ75. By extension, one might reason that these magazines (Tanfoglio / IWI Jericho 941 / Baby Eagle in 9mm) would work in the SIG226 version of the SUB2000. I have tested the fit of these magazines in a SIG226 version of the SUB2000 and they seem lock nicely into place. However, I have not had the opportunity to test fire the SUB 2000 using this configuration (nor will I unless I run into someone in the Vancouver area that has the SIG226 version of the SUB2000 that can meet me at the range some time). Before doing so, I wanted to check with you good folks as to the possibility of compatibility of the SIG226 version of the SUB2000 (in 9mm) with the above mentioned magazines. Is there any reason this wouldn't work? Has anyone tried this configuration?

On another note, it might be worthwhile to start a more general "sticky thread" with some sort of compatibility list that matches magazines to the various firearms in which they might work with.

Thanks for your comments all.

Thanks for the offer "captianlower." That is very kind of you. Much appreciated.

My understanding is that the Glock version of the SUB2000 is "unique" in that the Glock mags are of sufficiently different shape when compared to the mags used in the other versions that these other mags just won't fit into the gun. That said, it also appears that the non-Glock versions can be easily converted to use the other non-Glock mags by swapping the mag catch. That is what I know so far but it's the compatibility of other mags that are not listed by Kel Tec that is of interest to me. More specifically whether the Sig 226 version of the SUB2000 will take Tanfoglio / IWI Jericho 941 / Baby Eagle magazine (in 9mm).

I've got the glock mag version... If its any help to you shoot me a pm. Cheers

Hey folks. I know we have all been busy trying to explain the difference between fact and conjecture to a public that is being inundated with factually dubious rhetoric in the media. This said, I think some of the threads related to anything else are getting lost in the sea of "gun control mania" related threads.

So, I was just wondering if anyone had a moment to answer my questions in this thread? Any input would be genuinely appreciated.

Thanks folks!

Anyone get a chance to read this?

Still looking for an answer to my question below.

I can't help with your specific question as I have only owned Glock mag models( 5 of them lol ) but the answer to your question might be found over at another forum. The "ktog" forums. All Kel Tec all the time.

Great. Thank you. I will check them out.

In the mean time, if anyone here knows, please feel free to chime in.

Like you mentioned in the OP, the Beretta and Sig models are apparently easily interchangeable magazine-ise (just need to find the details, I think it involves the "magazine catch plate"), and the CZ-magazines are supposedly able to work in the Sig-mag version.

YMMV.

The GLOCK-mag version is apparently far less easy to swap configurations in.
