so i had a ag42/b before sold it and regretted it since so i finally broke down and bought another one..what i need to know is where can i find parts for it ? i know the mags are bout the same as finding hens teeth where each rifle was never given a back up but i have heard the mg-13 mags can be adapted for it but im not sure how hard they are to get

so the 3 things i am trying to find are

1 stripper clips
2 ag42b/mg13 mag
3 ag42b gun strap
----------------------------------------
if anyone know where i can find any of those in canada will u let me know

also how hard is it to import gun parts for the old milsurp guns ?

The sling is same as swedish Mauser rifle,TradeEx,Marstar,Ebay,Liberty tree in USA could have. The mag are very hard to find in canada and importing from usa mean paper work and patience and also need to be pinned to 5 rds, (somebody will correct me if i'm wrong about importing mag). For stripper clips, try TradeEx,Marstar,Numrich in the US should have them but they charge $25 fees for orderto canada, or place a WTB on the EE.

My original magazine was separated from my AG-42B...I was patient and found one shipped for less than a hundred bucks. They are out there, but can be pricey! I had best luck in a WTB ad in the EE. I asked around at shows, and got some leads too. These magazines were issued one per rifle, so there are not lots of spares out there.

As suggested, sling is same as the Mauser of the same era. Not too hard to find. Not that you inquired, but the bayonet is also the same too.

I have some strippers that some 'surp ammo came on. PM me your mailing address, and I'll send you a couple for the cost of mailing them. These, like the byao n' sling are the same as used in the Mauser.

MIND YOUR FINGERS!!! These gems can bite 'em.

If it is opened by Customs and they recognize it as a prohibited item it will be seized and you may be charged. Your "good intention" to pin the magazine as soon as you get it means sfa to them. If it slips through pin it immediately. I could say more but I'm sure others would point out that it would amount to "aiding and abetting criminal activity".

I wouldn't take chance to bring in an un-pined mag.Any chance to get it pinned in the US?
