What is the best buffer rod for the 10/22 ? Seems there are a number of brands that claim to be "The Best" YellowJacket, Tuffer Buffer and others. Which seems to be "The One" that stands out as the best/worst ?

I really don't know how you could distinguish the quality and performance from one to the other, too many to list, they all serve the same perpose, to eliminate that loud Clack sound made when firing. I always use Tuffer Buffers, good price and made in Canada, have used others but never noticed anything better/worse, the only difference I've noticed is how they fit into the reciever but that's not the pins, it's the small differences in the buffer pin holes on every gun, some slide right in, others need to be coaxed...

I have a Tuffer Buffer in my 10/22 laminate, stainless, target model. Well over 5000 rounds and it has worked well and has not broken down in any way. They are cheap in price, however my Tuf Buf was given to me free of charge when the company was first getting into development and getting their product out to the public. It was a free sample, so to speak.

Made one from a nylon bolt from the hardware store. I have nothing to compare it to other than the stock metal pin. Works just fine.
