I'm thinking a little higher here. It's got the 'mum, and that's a huge plus! It likely means that a vet picked it up off the field of battle. All parts matching, yikes!!! THAT, I'd love to have myself, even assuming that what you really mean is that the bolt matches the receiver/stock/metal parts, but the dustcover is probably mismatched. As for the bore, most people underestimate the condition of the bore because it uses Metford-style rifling which, even new, doesn't appear as sharp as Lee Enfields or Springfields. Sight unseen, I'd be thinking more like $600 up to $800. Heck, I'd pay $450 to $550 for mismatched with a 'mum, or matched without the 'mum, in decent shooting condition.

With what I have seen over the years, a matched numbers gun is not the norm, so many that I have seen are all mismatched, most don't have the mum or the dust cover as most dust covers were removed by the soldiers because they rattled so bad. So, in relatively good shape with the mum and dust cover the $800.00 mark is very realistic. The Arisaka Type 38 was credited as having the strongest action during the war, so it's dam strong and underated ! I love mine !

I agree. Those are all the features collectors look for so I think that is a very reasonable price, maybe even more.

550-600$ arisaka and japanese stuff is prety rare up here!! but its my opinion....
i have to Arisaka one m38 and one type 99 i pay 600$ each ( and my m38 is bolt missmatch)
my type 99 is a nagoya 1 serie all match but not the bolt, with aa sight, monopod, chrome bolt head and bore, full mum and the stock is in exelent condition it worth 1000$

for 400-600$ grab it!!
