I have an old pistol with a 9" barrel that is in the family I am hoping to get some information on. Im not sure of the caliber, looks like .22 or equivalent. Some info on the gun I wrote down on the paper in pic next to it. Tell me what you think, and if you know anything about the gun please share. Much appreciated.

Some dormant synapse inside me said: Stevens Tip-up Pistol.

Had a little trouble reading your writing, but it looks like:

J Stevens A & T Co.
Chicopee Falls, MA

Is the date 1854 or 1864?

With that in mind, Google is your friend, as it was mine! Search under "Stevens Tip-Up Pistol"
Here's one link with some very good info on the company.

Classification would make a big difference. Restricted would likely bring less than antique. Having said that, it looks to be in fine condition, which would enhance its collector appeal.
What caliber is it?

These are made in 22 rf , late 1890's to WW1, I don't my info at moment, looks like 1st model diamond 40.
These where made in small and large frame , I have one in a short barrel, 4 inch and a 6 inch
All restricted if over 4" , some of the larger frame one are 25 or 32 rim.
the # is not a year or model mumber, these are lot # , you run into mumbers like these in the single
shot rifles from stevens also.

That looks like my model 43 diamond 2nd edition in .22 LR. Mine has a 5 or 6" barrel. Great little gun. Nasty hair trigger! I would not recommend closing the barrel on a round unless already aimed at the target. I also advise NOT using regular power .22s. I use subsonics ONLY. These little guns are unbelievable fun with metal airgun targets at 25yds!!!!

I paid $120 (+tax) for mine 6 months ago and that was with a good bore but the nickel-plating has many little nicks on the underside, likely from sitting against a belt buckle! If you want to sell, send me a PM.
