SIG220 in .45 who shoots one?

Just to let you guys know, Questar has 8rd (SS) and 10rd mags (don't like the look of these personally-stick out too far) and Wolverine has the 8rd (SS) in stock if you guys want to buy. The wait is over.

Also, Arma-Coat and Wolverine have the German made Sig 220 pistols in stock right now, for those of you who have been waiting.
 
I have a sig p220 dark elite and the 22lr exchange kit, 22lr kit is a little finicky gotta ease the first round into her instead of just letting the slide rocket forward but after that she is fine. I love my p220 shoots great and the 22lr slide is a sniper, I am not a great shot but when I am having a good day it makes me look great.
 
I owned a p220 Combat .45acp once. Great shooting HG and easy to take-down for cleaning.
My only compaint was the Nitron finish. It always looked "blotchy" no matter how I cleaned it.
Overall I prefer my gen4 G21......sits nicer in my hand.

I think Sig's have fantastic ergonomics, don't know why everyone is turning to Glock's. I will have to try a G21 and see what the fuss is about.

Glock = $700
Sig 220 SAO = $1200

Sorry what was the question...

I wouldn't trade my SIG for anything. As they say: When you pay for quality, you only cry once.

And for those that don't like the Double Action, Double Action Only or prefer the Single Action of a 1911 the SAO is a really good alternative.

I am not an expert on either but I'll give you my take on my very limited experience with both after just receiving a SIG. The SIG's ergo's seem to fit the isosceles stance much adored of late in pistol circles for defensive shooting. I learned over 30 years ago and still use the modified weaver, purely for the type of competitive shooting I did and still enjoy the stance. I feel the Glock lends itself very well to this strongarm dominant shooting stance with a slightly lower height of bore over grip. This is my first conclusion on ergos of both, it may change with time, and some who shoot both with a lot of rounds down range may counter this with their own experiences.

I have this and a P220 German made .45 (and a P220 in 9mm as well). You can not go wrong with a SIG.
 
Nitron and a range buddy's stainless. Big weight difference... Wish I could find a pair of Rosewood grips for mine, as they fit me like a glove and look kickass.

Hogue Cocobolo, look and fit pretty nice. What do you guys think? Not as nice as the factory Elite wood, but I like the look and feel.

Extremely solid gun. Although I have not tried a Glock 21, my P220 is not going anywhere but the range for a very long time even if I could get a G21 for a good price. Love it!
 
$60 shipped, new in package from the EE. Googled and they were around $50-60 US... not sure where the seller got his. They look better than I thought they would. Extremely happy with my purchase.
