Hi all,
I've been looking for a double that could be used for woodcock and other upland bor hunting, but most of the doubles that ive found have been too fancy and high priced for me to want to drag them through a thicket. I finally came across Trade Ex's website and they have what seems to be some guns that would be the perfect fit for what I have been wanting, doubles for a very resonable price that already have handling marks. Just wondering if anyone has bought one from them and what your thought are. Thanks for your help.

Have one of the same Suhl Thalmann ones from Trade Ex too. Quality no frills SxS. Mine is 2.75. If you have any questions about the one you're looking at, call them, they are great at answering questions.

Tradex has numerous good field guns for reasonable prices. I've bought 2 - a Spanish SxS with 2 3/4" chambers, and a Husqvarna SxS hammergun in 2 1/2". Both were worth the asking price. I hunt with both.

Read the descriptions carefully, because some are in much better shape than others. Anthony will answer any questions you may have with no BS. So long as you expect only what you pay for, you shouldn't be disappointed.

Great to know that they are a reputable dealer. Another place that I have used is Ellwood Epps (see the add at the top of this forum). They have been great at answering questions in the past, as well good at shipping, etc.

Wholesale Sports--at least in Winnipeg.[/QUOT

gunsaholic is right on the money. Wholesale sports Winnipeg. There is also a guy in Markham Ontario who sells it by the case, but his name eludes me at this time. Try googling 2 1/2, 12 gauge ammo, Canada and you should get some results. It only comes in #6 shot. It's Kent Gamebore ammo. Real nice stuff.

I would call and ask.
Not sure if all their inventory is up on here.
And if you see something that really interests you,
best you buy it pronto as it's sort of like shopping
at Costco.
When their gone, their gone and they do go fairly quickly.

I have purchased several doubles from Anthony. I still have my Baikal 16 bore sxs. Of all the Baikal is the most course but most heavily and reliably built. Great for early season teal and mallards with #6 bismuth handloads. Most of Anthony's doubles will be too tightly choked for upland hunting.

IIRC I got my Brno zh301 from them, Nice O/U and great for trap and grouse hunting. When I got the thing I opened her up and she still had "Forest" in her, cleaned her well and no problems with it.
