P and D enterprises in Edmonton has a CZ 858 tactical II listed on there website. It says the following about the gun:

Is this any different from any other non restricted CZ? I'm wondering what the Tactical II designation means if anything? Does anyone out there know?

Ha ha! Yah I hear you.

The picture they show looks like the metal is more black than grey. Does anyone know if that's indeed the case with this version?

Probably just the lighting. The CZ858 "tactical 2" is the regular non res one that a lot of us have. It's got that blueish gray paint on it.

Thanks guys for the feedback. I'm hoping to pick up a couple of extra shifts (4 to be exact) at the end of the month to put towards getting one. Wish me luck!
 
i've just joined in on the cz858 fun as well. got a smoking deal privately on a gently used (>100 rounds) with some Fab Defense furniture.
have done some revisions as well and still trying to settle on optic of some sort as my eyes ain't what they used to be from 100yds +......i have 3 sks's and have enjoyed them but this is the one that i stare at now. and i just totally lucked out and bought 2400 rounds of surplus 7.62x39 privately for $300. happen to catch someone dumping their "stash" as they are getting out of the sport. yes, i'm an ammo whore.

oh ya....and mine's grey but the finish is suprisingly nice from some that i've seen.
 
Congrats. I've had mine out a couple of times and it is a hoot to shoot ;) I'm going to try the rear dust cover scope mount once Corwin Arms has them in. Once I get it I'll let y'all know how it works out.

Just recieved my tac2 from weimajack, its ###y. More of a thin charcoal enamel maybe? as opposed to the thick grey crappy expoxy primer looking finish. you can see milling marks through the finish.
