What do you recommend? This is for an F class target rifle. If weight is an issue, is aluminum a viable option? Canadian sources?
 
I bought an EGW rail from Prophet river. Shipped fast. Great base. Only $74 which is quite a bit cheaper than many I've seen for sale.
 
Look into a Ken Farrell base. The bases are great, I have one in 20moa and 0moa and are built perfect. I had a EGW on my savage and it did the job as well. Prophet River sells the Farrell bases.
 
for most guns aluminum will be plenty, if your shooting a heavy big scope on a high recoiling rifle then I would switch to steel. EGW is Evolution Gun Works, they make aluminum bases.
