Marlin 1894css Available in Canada?

I'm interested in a pistol caliber lever action carbine in stainless steel.

General use would be plinking / target and possibly Cowboy action.

Given I already have revolvers in.357 Magnum, I’d like to stay with that caliber.

To that end, I’ve pretty much narrowed the choices down to the Marlin 1894css or the Rossi R92 with a strong preference for the Marlin.

The dilemma is that despite Marlin listing the firearm on their website, I can’t find anyone in Canada that has any stock, or even a firm idea of when they will have stock.

Anyone know of a retailer that has the Marlin 1894css?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
 
My understanding is that this model has not had a manufacture-run in many months, and I am not aware of anyone in Canada or otherwise who has one in stock (I entertained the idea of having one imported).

A staff member at Reliable Gun told me that the model has been discontinued, but I have been unable to confirm this. I called Marlin about this model before Christmas, and was told that they did not have a timeline for future availability for this model.

I am becoming increasingly convinced that Marlin is an administrative mess at the moment. While several of their products really appeal to me, I am wary of supporting Marlin at this time. I hope you have better luck than I've had.

For the record: I had a WTB thread on another forum for some time for a CSS, offering up to $1000 for this model, and did not have any response.

I was doing the same search. Its on marlins site but none in Canada. Lots of smaller stores have a standing order for them and I put my name in too. I bought a 1894 blued 44 to hold me over and its awesome! I was expecting a bad experience with the remlin but its smooth and shoots great. For under 600 bucks that's not to bad.
 
As has been stated above, the line is on hold pending tooling review, and has been for over a year.

My understanding is that Marlin was purchased by Remington, and in moving of the tooling, the quality control could not be maintained on this line and after several months of problems the line was suspended. Hopefully to be back, but I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you.

You could always consider a Rossi Ranch Hand, and mount a full sized aftermarket '92 stock for short barreled goodness.
 
Well, after starting this thread earlier this year, I have not as yet seen any availability on the 1892css. Nor does it appear that Marlin will be ramping up production any time soon.

While I've seen the odd Marlin 1894c and some really nice Japanese made Winchester 1892’s come and go , I'm really committed to getting a rifle in stainless which pretty much leaves Rossi…

Frustratingly, I’m having difficulty finding anyone in Canada that stocks Rossi!

If anyone knows where I can purchase a Rossi M92 round barreled stainless chambered in 357, I’d sure appreciated a quick note.
