Hi guys,

I have a Savage 10 fcp-k in .308 and I' looking to upgrade the stock, I'm thinking to buy a Mcmillan A5.

Is there any aftermarket detachable mag kit on the market for my rifle ???

The problem is, the mag release is on the trigger guard.

If the kit could use AICS mags, that would be nice...
I saw CDI make gr8 kits but I don't saw one with the mag release...

Im waiting on this one from AICS for the 10 S/A http://www.snipershide.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=3749740#Post3749740

When I did my research Black Eagle customs and SSS dont ship to Canada so no bolt on bottom metal availble....

Yup ... Sucks they wont ship because they have all the cool gear I want....

Yeah mee too I want some of their stuff... But I did not see any det.mag kits on their web site...

CDI told me their DBM for the Savage requires only "minor" fitting. Takes Accuracy Internations mags.

Does CDI kits have the bolt release device integrated into the trigger guard ?

Notice the arrow at the bottom of the picture, the bolt release is there...

Accurate-Mag makes no gunsmith bottom metal for older style savages with dbm and accustocks. Nothing right now for the new front bolt release, but the sight mentions that they "might" make a kit for the new style in the near future. I'd suggest keeping an eye on their sight.

Seems crazy that companies are not making more easily installable, shippable and good stocks for the 10 FCP-K

I'm starting to lose interest in the stock also as the price is just as expensive as the action and barrel combined.

LoL that's because the savage price is really good for what you get :p

So no, zero, nada options for my rifle ??? :ang

I think it has a lot to do with Savage changing their action configuration much more than others (Rem) for stock/mag makers to want to invest the development in something that may be changed next year. Remington 700s have stayed consistent for a much longer and therefore instill more confidence in aftermarket support, leading to a lot more options. Just MHO.

Working on both a stock and bottom metal solution. WAAAAYYYY too early to offer any details as paperwork and other arrangements are at least a couple of months out.

But I will announce when it all happens.
