shortened handguard

Bought a USGI hand guard on EE. Seller did not tell me it had been altered, advertised as "USGI handguard, excellent condition", being a trusting soul ( read stupid), I bought it, put it in my parts box for my next build. Six months later do the build and the hand guard has had about 1.5" sawed off it on the receiver end. Looks like s**t on the rifle. What would have been the purpose of such alteration? Beware, check the stuff you buy as soon as you get it and trust only sellers you have dealt with. the seller had a high trader rating, just like the guy who sold me the defective set of reloading dies. Buyer beware!!

That sucks. Sawing 1.5" off one end certainly doesn't fit the description of "excellent condition" in my books.

Report the Sucker! And on the trader rating - specify the issue. I read the trader ratings to gauge honesty.

Also, if a member, if you can remember or saved the transaction...send him a friendly fraud note. Some people have no moral compass to begin with, but it nice to remind them of their lower moral status in the world once in a while too.
