Yes another what 1911 to buy dilemma, asking out to the folks in the know, who have been there, done that with the 1911 as I have been tupperware shooter for many years...

norc 1911 + 2000 rds
Sam 1911 + 1500 rds
Remington R1 + 1000 rds
ruger Sr1911 + 1000rds
or just buy a sig 1911 and buy ammo at later date

You keep adding more money to get a higher quality gun, I know it never stops... but I am not paying anymore than the price of a Sig. I have read many threads on all these guns and they all have there fanboys and haters....Feel free to post your opinion.

What the hell man? Perfect opportunity for a poll. Id say buy a Norc and a Ruger. Buy the Norc now and trick it out. The Sam's in Stainless are a good deal though as well.

Norinco's have come a long way as far as accuracy, trigger pull, and fit and finish.
Buying any American made firearm, these days, is a crap shoot.
Tales of some Ruger and Remington 1911's, being loose rattlers.
My recent Norinco 1911 Sport, outshoots my Spartan .45 and SIG 220

I have a Para GI Expert, really like it, no frills. It is probably what you'd call an entry level 1911. I think there's a couple for sale on EE for $650. Not a big fan of the Norinco line, but I have heard they've gotten better.

I wanted the Ruger SR1911, but I ended up ordering the Norc after running low on cash and hearing about iffy Ruger(s) and the loose lock-up. I figured I could also learn how to smith my own 1911 and why make a boo boo on the more expensive 1911 anyway, so Norc all the way.

The sport black model came from marstar a few weeks ago and it's surprisingly tight and put together. It needs a little work on the mag release since it's gritty and slightly interfere's with the mags entering the mag well, but that's an easy fix. It's by far the best value for money 1911 around.

I bought a norinco from rouge river arms.. It looked and felt great with very little slop in the slide ... I'm happy with it for ~350 out the door..plus it'll give me something to practice polishing on...just have to wait for my Rpal to show up now to get it :(

Really though I've never had a junk norinco product yet.. I'm sure there's the odd lemon but I mean at worst on the. 1911 you replace all the guts and have a sweet pistol or it runs fine with factory guts and you have a cheap shooter

nothing bad I can find about the Sams.

Played with one the other day, seemed VERY tight and well put togeather. No fancypants gun, just basic, but very nice for that. And cheap too, about $450 new
