Best Unrestricted 308 Black rifle?

Belt fed 1919A4. Oh wait you said accurate.

Instead of taking time to post 'what's an RFB or FNAR?' just use the search. This question is asked and answered MULTIPLE times per week.
 
I have an FNAR in 308. It has a very reliable gas piston and FN claim 0.5 moa out of the box. I have shot close to 2000 rd so far both commercial and handloads. I even took this rifle down to the states on my annual prairie dog hunt as a back up to my savage 22-250. And it easily took dogs out to 300yd.
I purchased a second one last year thinking my son was going to come with us but it did not. I have just listed it on gun nuts. If you goggle FNAR you will see what is say is "straight shooting" pardon the pun. Questar sells then new if that is the way you want to go.

This really depends on what you are looking for.


A Kel Tec RFB is a bullpup and very compact. 26.5" overall length. Really can't beat it for a .308 non restricted compact rifle.

Then there's the Rob Arms XCR-M, making a long gun in .308 tacticool. Like an AR-15 on steroids or something.

Non if you want accuracy beyond 100 yards then go with a FNAR or M1A.


I have an XCR-M and paid for my RFB last week so hopefully it will finally be here this week after a lengthy delay by Kel Tec letting an export permit expire. Plan on doing a range report on both of them in the future.
 
I've been looking for pretty much the same thing as the original poster. From the reviews the FNAR looks to be an excellent choice and is the one I'll be getting.

Now I just need to actually find one for sale. Questar is 12-24 week backordered and Irunguns is out of stock. Anyone know where to find one?

I don't have a springfield match, I just meant the platform cannot be beat for a 308 black rifle. M14 M1a M305 same diff.

Also, are you saying you get 1 moa from a stock polytech?
