Hey everyone!

Does anyone know who carries Aguila ammo that's in stock here in Canada? I'm specifically looking for .22 20gr bullets.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

I don't think they can sell in Canada anymore because they didn't renew their license. I have been trying to get some 5mm ammo for awhile with no luck. I have to find the phone number for the guy in Saskachewan that was a dealer for Aguila and PM you. Is that .22 ammo the stuff that is 1760 fps?

I'm looking for that as well, but primarily the 500 fps .22 ammo.

Thanks!

A 20grn bullet is likely to be much faster than the 500fps. Even CB short ammo from CCI exceeds 800fps. I'm uncertain if Aguila makes a CB equivalent. Aguila does make a 60grn SSS round that is rated about 900fps. The 60 grn bullet however doesn't stabilize well in a standard 16twist 22 RF barrel. A much tighter twist is needed(about 9) and then accuracy is mediocre. The only real advantage the round has is better penetration on small game. Trajectory is like a rainbow and passed 100m it drops like a rock in a pond.

It seems that the approvals are listed under the importer now, rather than the product.

the 20 gr ammo has no powder in the case, just lots of priming compound. It is very quiet in a rifle. Sounds like an air rifle. Around 500 fps.

In a revolver it make a loud bang.

I recently chronographed their hot 40 gr ammo. It was around 1375, as I recall. Nothing special.

Every Cooey I've tried the SSS in WILL stabilize, no problem's at all.But not cycle in the semi's.
Even the little Savage Rascal stabilize's them.

Another indication of ammo's behaviour varies in different firearms. Grouped like a shotgun and I gave the balance of a brick away.
