The Kinniwabi Long Rifles Gun Club in Chapleau still has some active black powder shooters, including me. The approved range is used mostly for rifle and handguns now, but the club was founded for black powder in the 1970's and was very active for several year. Many rendezvous were held and a large number of American shooters would attend. We often went to American rendezvous in Michigan as well. The Soo gun club has many black powder shooters as well and I remember competing in their Bonn Soo shoot several times. The Sudbury Gun Club also had some excellent black powder shooters. What ever happened to the buck skinner craze that was more popular 20 - 30 years ago?
