Nope, alls my unissued SKS stay with cosmo/oil as my refurb 1949. I just wipe them from time to time and grease again ok i may be little be crazy

I got the same one last week.

It's my first SKS, and second rifle altogether. I cleaned her up good and took her for a test run over the weekend. Almost no recoil and she shoots very accurate, no issues at all, very happy with the purchase.

They are pinned with a piece of steel riveted to the followerso no welding.
