I got a crate of this with my CZ-858/ ammo deal. It is great ammo sofar, first time out I put 150rnds throught the CZ and everything was perfect!!

I got my crate a few weeks ago, but haven't cracked it open yet as i still have lots to shoot from my last bunch.
Is all of this ammo lacquered or just the washed steel cases?

Did you see any sparks coming from the steel backstop when your bullets hit?

Backstop is a mound of dirt and cement blocks at my indoor range, I think. Won't be shooting steel at 25yds.

Just got my SKS and Ammo today from Canadaammo.com, And Put a magnet to the bullets and they are magnetic.

Copper Coated Steel jacket with Lead core.

Not acceptable for some indoor ranges.

Nope. These are still lead core.

But seriously, sometimes you get that with foreign ammo, especially Chinese stuff. I've had several spam cans of Chinese 7.62x39 corrosive surplus that smelled sweet, like cotton candy, almost. It's probably some packing preservative or something.

That would be the smell of the facory workers scented rice getting steamed, in Russia it would be borsht!

Frontier Alberta but you would be better off ordering from Canada Ammo or Tradex with free shipping!

I would not even consider bullets with a mild steel core armor piercing.

which is one is better 7.62X39mm or 5.56 or 223 for plinking and apocalyse?

.223 5.56 is expensive when compared to 7.62x39 so if $$ is a factor go with 7.62x39 if your just plinking/ zombie hunting.
