Happy with your NEA?

Carefull, the truth can set you free, of CGN.

No. Deliberately trolling and hijacking threads does though.

The OP asked if members were happy with their NEA. I'm sure some people are not, and that's fine. If you don't have one and don't have anything to contribute, then perhaps you should not just inflate your post count.

There is a big difference between posting the "truth" about your own experiences and just trolling out pointless slander against ANY company or product.

Have a look here: http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/announcement.php?f=69&a=62

Please try to keep this on track. I don't want to send another one to the boneyard.

I'd probably change up to a Geiselle trigger anyways, so that would be a non issue. Sounds like a decent buy. I figured the earlier one's might need some tweaking.

That's what I did. I had an early version and my trigger wasn't actually that bad. It didn't matter to me though as I knew I was going to upgrade regardless. Now that I have spent some time with my S3G trigger I find every stock AR trigger I try is just not right! ;)

Mine is one of the first released. I had gas troubles, they promptly shipped me a new upper. I didn't like the trigger, tried new springs, that helped a lot. It runs flawlessly now. Shoots great. I put in a drop-in Timney. Wayyyyyyy better!!

I have a 7.5" that i built from the first batch of parts. Only shot 500 rounds but it runs like a charm.I'm using a aftermarket BCG so no issues there.

I have 2 NEA 7.5 rifles... both rifles have had 0 FTF's/FTE's to date but one rifle has had a few issues.

The fit on the one rifle is less than acceptable as the hole for the rear takedown pin is too big, and the original pin falls out with little or no effort.
The second issue is that the forward assist must of had some type of flaw in the metal, when I placed it on my work bench the knob and part of the pin snapped off. when I posted this on the CGN NEA forum, I was told that it had to have been my fault and NEA would not take responsibility for it. they finally sent me a new F/A (no charge).

I have one of the first 25 rifles.
had many problem at the beginning, NEA took care of everything for me.
I learned how to fully take apart and put together every part of the AR now, and I have a rifle thats works great

Not trying to hijack the thread but... Trigger issues seem to be the biggest complaint of the NEA rifles. I have a problem with my rifle "doubling" I want to keep a standard milspec trigger, who would you suggest? If you want to keep it out of the thread please just PM me and I will research any suggestions.

Mine is in the <50 serial # range and I haven't had any issues other than not locking open after the last round with some o my LAR mags. I got it off the consignment wall at pheonix looking like it had less than 100 rounds through it. I've put another ~1,300 rounds through it and am happy with it. The trigger was a bit heavy but deffinitelly serviceable, that said I just put a Geissele S3G in it.

Picked it up like the picture minus the rings/optics. No it has a tan Troy VTac 13" rail, tan UBR, S3G and Vortex cantilever mount. Have yet to figure out a light and mount for it though.
