I got a 'pleasant' suprise yesterday. A while ago, Ruger brought out the No. 1 in 303Br. I like the idea and concept of a single shot in 303 but my preference would be a more era appropriate platform. I've had a number of Ruger No. 1's, great rifle but not what I had in mind for a single shot in 303. I have a friend that's into older high end rifles and shotguns and yesterday he gave me the loan, for an unlimited time span, of a 303Br. single shot by John Rigby & Co. of London, Field's Patent Breech
