Daniel Defense vs Sig Sauer

It was in the German DEFENSE not sport catalogue. They didn't list the 7.5 or AK magazine model but the 10.5 and 7.62 were in there both made in the USA. Now I see they don't list the defense catalog or weapons, just the sport. Guess we're not even allowed to look anymore...

Yes, nothing listed under the defense category. This probably indicates that it's LE/Mil only.

Last year they listed what models were available and there was some overlap with the sport site. They also had a catalogue you could download, I just checked and it's gone too. Pity even HK lets you drool over their SMGs, LMGs and grenade launchers. Or they used too, too lazy to check. LOL

Just checked the German sight and found no 10.5" model.

a dealer here is selling the 10" one in 223/5.56 & 12" in 308. They are made in USA. The dealer also have 516 16" in 7.62x39 as well.

Is it true that 5.56 is more powerful than 223, and 7.62x39 more powerful than 5.56?
Is 7.62x39 more powerful than 308?

The original query was in regards to German made 516's that Tactical Imports brings in, not the U.S. made ones.

Look up a table of muzzle velocities, bullet weights and muzzle energies of those 4 cartridges and decide for yourself.

There's a bit of history to this. Up until a year ago we couldn't get any Sig AR 15s. Then they started importing the German made ones which are 16" only. Just recently the American made ones have been made available to us, about 3 months ago I think. Hence the confusion.

5.56 is usually more potent than .223 but you can get .223 in many forms including heavy bullets, hunting bullets so they're pretty much equal. 7.62x39 does have more energy but it bleeds off quickly and is no where near as flat shooting; ie it runs out of steam at distance.
