Pinned flash hider removal

Depends.... Where did you get your rifle and what brand is it?

I ask because I removed the pin on my stag from arms east last year. In their case it was drilled pinned and not welded. I that case you can put the upper receiver in a receiver block vice and carefully turn off the hider. With enough force you can back it out, the pin will start to move/ bend out of position. You will mar the crap out of the hider that is on there and you will need to chase your threads, but if it is not welded you can avoid dremeling and cutting it off.

Good luck

You need to be careful doing this kind of thing. The aluminum receiver is really easy to twist. The best tool is the one that fits inside the barrel extension and isolates the receiver from any torque.
