Mine is once again broke and my press is idle. very sad.

I have 3 coming from Hornady, but that's a ways off and I am interested in learning how he did it. I'm sure I'll break it again and again.

But I'm too deep now to switch brands and it's always been my fault, not the press. I like it a lot when it works.

It seems with this particular round, that it's more about primer insertion. But I had a guy that knows what he's doing set it up and that is not the problem, it was the loose nut behind the handle.

I think the guy has machinist skills. I think he turned it on a lathe or mill.
 
what the hell i up with hornady lately and these drive hubs snapping.... this is like the 10th thread i've seen about it breaking.
 
If you're sizing rifle brass with it you need to use good lube.
I use Dillon Case Lube (lanolin and isopropyl alcohol).

I'm betting they break when the ram is on the way down and the case is sticking.
The other possibility is a bad batch went out the door.

I've sized tens of thousands of rounds on mine.

this is true. I discovered that with my first reload. It was .270. When I got the lube right, it was perfect.

I'll buy that. and I would also think that there's more than just that batch. My serial number is in the 24### range.

I'm on my 3rd hub. 4th on the way.
