Shooting on private property

I'd like to introduce my friends to target shooting while we are at the cottage. Especially one anti who refuses to go to a range with me. I have checked with local bylaws and I am allowed to discharge a firearm in the area I am in. I'm just going to be target shooting with a .22 rifle, and maybe breaking up wooden logs with a 12g. I am using the hill my septic tank is buried under. The only problem I am seeing is my property isn't that large, and while the hill is steep and tall (it's 1 story high), beyond it is my neighbors land which is 50m or so away.

Are there size and distance regulations when it comes to property? If anything, I can go down the road into some crown land.

Also..... anyone know any good plinking spots east of Burk's Falls?
 
Its your property, if your outside city limits light it up with the staccato of rapid gunfire.
Screw your neighbors, you pay property taxes.
Practice your bump firing skills while your at it.

If there are any bylaws the local gov can help you find them. The next thing is any provincial laws.

I can't image you would have any trouble but I would talk to neighbors to let them know. No sense in make trouble for no reason.

Yes, I talked with someone at city council and they confirmed I am clear of any bylaws. Will check with neighbours too. Thanks for the help.

I wonder how long the ban hammer is for that guy?
But, I digress... 50m to your closest neighbor you say... have you paced of what 50 m looks like ?
Have you read the caution label on a box of .22's ?
Never mind the shotgun.
While an 8 foot berm may appear to be large enough, I would do more research before firing the first rounds.
Then again that is what I would do, you might have another idea.
