Savage 17wsm Preorders?

Anyone know if any dealer is taking Preorders on these new rifles? From What I hear they are exoected in April 2013?

You might want to wait a bit. It's the first of its kind. The one I watched them use on some youtube review didn't eject and the bolt was very stiff to operate. The production model hopefully wont have those issues. I'm sure they will come out with other versions if this platform takes off the way the want. I'm holding out for a heavy barrel version in something not so "plain". Just a suggestion.

P&D has them on order as well, but Phil was saying who knows when the ammo will arrive?? FS

Kevin at North Pro Sports in Saskatoon has them on order too, I dunno how many but they're for stock and I'm sure you can work something out with him he's a great dude to deal with. As for the ammo, only God knows.

Talked to my local shop today. Said the put in an order for 30 but are only getting 5-10. Everybody's trying to get as many and as much ammunition as they can. Could be a while before its all readily available.
