Seems funny people are pay so much for magazines when it's ammo that counts. Have ammo prices gone up 10x? Not really.

There is a company in Ontario that has USGI mags coming in at $17.99 they will last a very long time on there own, longer than replacing a barrel on your Tavor or parts before you use up say a set of 10 of them, they may not be as long lasting as Gen3 Pmags but really who cares...


I bought 2 GEN3 as well and have 10 on order that I will receive sometime this year, I already have enough mags on my person to last a very long time. Hell my CF mags are still good to go and will last me long enough as is...That being said my HK mags are still awesome and so are my EMags along with my other Pmags windowed that will last me a lifetime really.

I really wanted the GEN3 Pmags with the window though....oh well..

The H&K mags are pretty damn amazing. Mine came in yesterday and I was not expecting the steep angle of them. Almost AK like actually!

In a lot of ways I find the HK mags still the best, yes they are heavy but in "Real world use" I would still use them or have a few on my rig just because, really in most situations when carrying body armor and alot of other gear I would carry up to 4 mags in easy access and a few in my pack & thats it.

because they are going to pinned to ?-30 and still can hold 30 in the excited states they have the term preban which is self explanitory and till the ban comes there will be a feeding frenzy ,which makes it seem that if you wait till the bans come in to force prices will go back normal.it is a moot point as here in canada as we can only have them in pinned version and that is a reason that the pmags are at a premium there and here the premium is just silly as they are already pinned,and this is only an opinion

If you know me, I talk a lot about silver - and I think neither of these conditions are true for silver, but seeing it with guns - if Pmags could be priced at and sell for $100 each, silver could easily be priced at and sold for $150/oz.

Right, the only difference is that Magpul hasn't figured out how to manufacture silver yet

How are those H&K mags compared to the Tavor mags? I know IWI specifically asked that the followers in Tavor mags be able to tilt and F-up (lord knows why...), but aside from that?

I think I'll do a quick side by side review of the H&K mags, Magpul Gen3s, Gen2s and IWI USGIs once my CTCS order comes in and I've actually shot some rounds out of them all.

But the H&K mags . . . they're very different. They're not just a nicer USGI, which is what I was initially picturing. They're pretty gucci kit.

Let me explain something to you pal, there is a long list of things you yourself possess and don't need. But there is this thing called freedom that allows you to acquire stuff you want.
You can try places where people only get what they need if you'd like, see if you like it better there.

Depends on the version of magazine wither it be a Pmag or USGI mag....The earlier Pmags crack in arctic conditions and the early HK mags are flimsy and don't last as long as the newer gens. Sure i would prefer the newer PMAG3 but for most user here in Canada they will be served well with most mags available now...

Personally I like the body on the HK mags they fit better in my pounch than most of my Magpuls mags except possibly my Emags...
