Best TactiCOOL .22 rifle ... non-restricted... stupid gun laws

Now hold on here Ladies:p.... Your kinda nailing me to the cross here for the definition of the word "regularly".
Geez Give some people a computer with an internet connection and watchout;)....

By "regularly" i mean that it happens on a regular basis. I.e not every time. I'd say about 3 or 4 times in 10 attempts. you may disagree with my loose definition of "regularly" but thats up to you. I mean how often do we get to shoot on windless days. However if you read what I said The conditions must be right and I have to use CCI stingers. With no wind and a bench its just up to you and the gun.

Just a heads up, The only way I'll run is for free beer and I wouldn't be caught dead on cross country ski's so the biathlon is a no go:)....

Sorry OP didnt mean to hijack your thread

Nope, I was calling :bsFlag: on the "1" groups at 100-150 yards" definition... with a mossy .22LR semi...

Nothing to do with your use or definition of the word "regularly"

Happy on dude...

Had the mossy tactical... 6/10
Had the 10/22... 8/10
Have the SR-22... 10/10

Hands down the best 22 you can get, nice weight, eats all ammo, never jams (1 jam per 150 rounds on avg) usually a stove pipe.

Just wondering if and what add-ons you did to your 10/22 and sr-22? The only readon why I ask is, most poeple who buy the sr22, end up spending as much for upgrades as the cost of the rifle. Like $1200 for the gun with upgrades. The thing that angers me about the sr22 guys is few are honest about the cost of upgrades to make there awesome gun, awesome.

That is the beauty of the SR-22. It is a great gun when you buy it. If you don't care about the money, it can be turned into an awesome gun. The others are cheap junk and always will be. There is no benifit in investing a penny into a plastic wanna-be as you cannot make chicken soup out of chicken sh1t.

Honestly, its a .22 plinker. I use it to go out to my friends farm or forest with the intention of shooting a whole bunch of trees and maybe a rabbit. It is not used for long range .22 sniping, for that I would suggest a bolt action.

So with purpose in mind, I put a top rail on it ($30), a small bottom rail and foregrip ($50) and magpul BUIS (65$). A simple setup, but allows quick target acquisition and keeps the gun light. Total I paid 475 for the gun plus $150 in upgrades, so 625 total.

The gun is great stock, I now some people put barrels and whatnot but it is great out of the box.

You can make it awesome with 500$ in upgrades but really you can use that towards a Norinco M4, or Benelli Supernova tactical W/adjustable stock, or a 1937 bolt action savage series 3(d), or a marlin lever 30-30, or an M&P .40 because thats what I did.

In summary, get the sr-22, put sights on it and have fun it works great as is.

You are right, they are.

Repeat after me... Jam o matic.

I had one for about 6 months, and I experienced a jam 1/25 - 1/50 rds.

Problem is that it works OK (1/100 Jam) when its clean and you dont touch the mag. But, when I go out shooting my .22 I fire off 500-1000 rds easy.

Once it gets dirty it becomes the jam-o-matic. ( 200 rds and its dirty)

So I saved some cash, bought a used SR-22 for 475 (no tax cuz its used). I was in the forest this last weekend and popped off 2500 rds, 4-5 jams.

If you get the mossy, round nose, copper plated, high velocity ammo only. HP jam every 10 rds... dont know why.

my .02 cents

*** EDIT***

Dont worry about the "plastic" issue, its really a non-factor. I actually like the light weight factor, great for long treks. Less weight on the gun mean you can carry more ammo

If your actually gonna hunt rabbit with it and not mow down tree stumps and plow through 3000 rds your good.

Also reloading the mags is a bit ch on the mossy, SR-22 has a speed loader sent from god touched by angels delivered by santa.

End of rant.

I have had almost all of these rifles mentioned and the.only one i have now is the kel tec su22. It has given me zero grief and i have almost no ftf or fte in several thousands of rounds. Great rifle and they have blackdog mags the hold anywhere from 10-30 rounds in them.

I also have the su-22 and love it!

I've got over 1000rds through my new ISSC MK22 now...hardly a hiccup. Runs just as good as my Ruger 10/22T and 10/22 Classic. I put a Vortex red dot on it...its my most fun plinker now, my 3 kids say so :)

+1 for the Kel-tec. The only ammo I've had any issue with was Winchester T22

Kel-tec Su22 ~$575
SU-16E stock ~$180
BD-AR15-22-DRUM ~$90
cmmg 25rnd mags ~$25/each
Chipppa 10/28 mag ~$24
used AFG2 $45
transfered optics don't remember
A2 flash hider on route ~$12
CTR stock still looking ???
Total= to much for a .22 but i love it
