SHOT SHOW UPDATE#1: BOBERG ARMS coming to Canada!!!

If you think about how the action works, it wouldn't be possible to lock the slide. Even if it did, if you inserted a mag, it wouldn't pick up a round when the slide went forward.

This makes it good for Left Handed Shooters as you don't need to fiddle with trying to manipulate the slide lock. Gotta try and find out if the mag release is reversible or not.

^^
+1

I'm in for one.

Please bring in extra mags... I'll buy 3 (providing 2 are included) for a total of 5.
Cheers~

Ill take the ONYX version for sure

Wanstalls is pleased to announce that we have secured Boberg Arms for distribution into Canada!

Boberg Arms make a 4.2" Canadian legal version of their XR9 "bullpup" style Pistol. These stainless "low recoil" pistols measure an overall length of 5.95" and shoot regular and +P 9mm ammunition

This quick video explains the Feed mechanism which allows for the bullet to be transferred into the action, keeping the gun "compact".

Pricing has not yet been finalized but should have everything confirmed shortly! Will keep you posted....

Dealer inquiries Welcome!!

Hoping to have some firm pricing shortly and ETA for delivery would be may/June...

I would take a XR9-L Onyx with a 7.5lb trigger pull (not the 6 or 9: the 9lb seems heavy and it is said some hard primer ammo doesn't work well in the 6lb) as well. The reviews of the XR9-S found it a very, very good firearm to shoot in such a small frame and grip.

The earlier reports/reviews on the Boberg Arms said they have very low production rates: is this still true? (http://sigforum.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/430601935/m/9060021962) Are you going to get enough stock?

There a possibility of pre-order? This is one purchase I don't want to miss. :)

Heck, let me give you my Visa card here and now: :nest:

... I think these'll sell fast.

It's definitely awesome looking. But a very thorough review I read did mention some malfunctions and repeat issues. I would definitely go for one but they're up around $1,000 USD I think so I can only imagine what they may end up costing here.

Eager to handle one though. It might just be the push I need to love this thing.

Can someone explain to a newbie the advantages this has over other pistols?

It has nothing to do with recoil. I has to do with our silly barrel length laws.

Because the barrel on this gun extends back behind the grip; You get an extremely short pistol, while still complying with our 4.2 inch minimum barrel length requirement.

Any other semi-auto pistol that's this small would be deemed prohibited.
